Gold, silver at historic highs

MUMBAI: Gold and silver on Tuesday rallied to end at a new high of Rs. 8,170 per ten gram and Rs. 13,400 a kg, respectively due to heavy all-round buying after a sharp rise in the global prices. Gold prices in the world market shot up to a 25-year high at $570.85 an ounce.
