Inculcating a new skill among school students
It was time to learn lessons outside the classrooms for students of Sri Sivananda Balalaya, Tiruchi.
It also gave them exposure to agriculture.
Cultivating paddy in a small patch of land on the school campus was an exciting experience for them.
As a first step, the students were made to interact with farmers and observe their way of working.
Next, it was their turn to try their hands at cultivation.
The most surprising thing was the enthusiasm shown by students and the way they did their job.
The correspondent of the school, K.G. Meenakshi, impressed by the interest of the students, said that some of them might well specialise in agricultural sciences in the future.
