HUBLI: D.R. Bendre was a universal poet. But his work in the field of mathematics is as unique as his contribution to literature, Vaman Bendre, writer and son of D.R. Bendre, has said. He was addressing students of Dr. K.S. Sharma Educational Institutes at a function organised at Vishwashrama Chetana Complex here on Tuesday to mark D.R. Bendre's birth anniversary. Bendre Research Institute is bringing out D.R. Bendre's mathematical and scientific compilations and literary works, Mr. Vaman Bendre said. Presiding over the function, Dr. K.S. Sharma, founder of the institute, said: "D.R. Bendre wanted the poor to be rulers of the land some day. The onus is on us to fulfil his dreams."
