NALGONDA: A State ranker in last year's tenth class exams, Iskanpet Harikrishna, (17), of Nizamabad district, allegedly committed suicide in the temple town of Yadagirigutta on Tuesday. According to circle inspector Venkatesh, Harikrishna, who had secured 11th rank with 555 marks in the SSC exams, was in Intermediate first year at a private college in Kamareddy. He had come to Yadagirigutta in the afternoon and hanged himself from a tree at Angadipet after calling up his relatives. He was reportedly upset with his poor performance during the college examinations. Harikrishna did not attend college for about one month on health grounds. "As soon as he entered the college yesterday, he vomited and saw a doctor. He has been missing since morning," a relative, who came to Yadagirigutta, to take his body, told reporters. Harikrishna called up one of his relatives before resorting to the extreme step. As his father works in Dubai, Harikrishna was staying with his uncle at Bikunur in Nizamabad district, police said.
