MUMBAI: Manav Das returned a card of three-under 67 to make an impact on the first day of the Royal Challenge Western India Amateur golf tournament, played at BPGC course. The 27-year-old Punjab golfer, sixth in Order of Merit for 2005-06, came up with an eagle on the 12th and birdied the 18th with two bogies in between to end three shots ahead of Aniraban Lahiri, and four ahed of Gagan Verma and Balwinder Muttu. Defending champion Gaganjeet Singh is tied in fifth place with 72.
