Elections to all taluk panchayat posts in Hassan district held

HASSAN: Elections to the posts of president and vice-presidents of eight taluk panchayats (TPs) in the district completed, Deputy Commissioner, K.H. Ashwathanarayana Gowda, has said.

While the Janata Dal (Secular) won the two posts in seven

TPs, the Congress came to power in Arsikere taluk.

Following are the presidents and vice-presidents of taluk panchayats in the district:

Hassan: Parvathi Bai and Sarojamma.

Belur: Sudha Suresh and H.A. Nagaraj.

Channarayapatna: Shyamala Udyakumar and Chandrappa.

Arkalgud: Madhukar and Savitha.

Alur: K.R. Vaidyanath and Vanajakshi.

Arsikere: Lalithamma and Shivashankar.

Holenarsipur: Chandrashekariah and T.K. Jayanthi and Sakleshpur: Sujatha Mallesh and Ranganath.
