JAIPUR: Special gram sabhas will be convened in the villages in six districts of Rajasthan this coming Thursday marking the launch of the much- talked about Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. Preparations for implementation of the scheme, based on the Rural Employment Guarantee Act, have been finalised in the State with registration forms and job cards supplied to village panchayats. The districts where the scheme is to be implemented are Banswara, Dungarpur, Udaipur, Jalore, Karoli and Jhalawar. The Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Kalulal Gujjar, will attend the gram sabhas at Girva and Jhadol panchayat samitis in Udaipur district.
