15 books to be released during sammelan

They have been chosen by a selection committee of the parishat

MANGALORE: The Dakshina Kannada Zilla Kannada Sahitya Parishat has selected 15 books to be released during the two-day District Kannada Sahitya Sammelan to be held at Savanoor in Puttur taluk from Saturday. The books, chosen by a selection committee of the parishat, will be released at the Dr. Shivaram Karanth Vedike on Sunday, a parishat press release here says.

The books include, "Doddavara Balya", "Karnatakada Veera Naariyaru" (children's literature) by Savithri S. Rao and Kelu Master Agalpady, "Rangasthala", "Pavana", "Yellaragintha Cheluve Nannakke" and "Kavya Rashmi" (collection of poems) by Vasanth Kumar Perla, Aloysius D'Souza, Chandrashekar B. and Palthady Ramakrishna Achar respectively and others.

It will be held on the Savanur Vidyarashmi Educational Institution premises, the release adds.
