HYDERABAD: The Detective Department on Tuesday arrested a commission agent Yaseen, 24, on the charge of aiding and abetting Mujeeb, the alleged city module head of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist group, in the latter's activities. Mujeeb was recently arrested and lodged in a jail. Hailing from Karimnagar district, Yaseen was a relative of Mujeeb and has been living in the city for past few years.
Marble trader
He was into the trade of marble tiles. The police said that Yaseen, at the instance of Mujeeb, planned to transport a load of marble tiles from Rajasthan to Hyderabad. With help of Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin, a Pakistani, Mujeeb had hatched a plan to secure sophisticated firearms. He got the firearms hidden in the load of marble tiles being transported in a lorry from Rajasthan and supposed to receive them here. However, his plans failed after the Rajasthan police intercepted the lorry at Ajmer, arrested the driver and seized the arms a few weeks ago.
