Welder held, stolen property recovered

HYDERABAD: The Nallakunta police on Tuesday arrested a welder Jagdeep Vijay Kumar, 25, who had allegedly been committing thefts since he was 15 years old and recovered stolen jewellery worth Rs. 3.5 lakhs from him.

He was sent to jail seven times earlier, according to a press release. After being in jail for seven months, he came out in November last and joined hands with ex-convicts — Shiva Rao of Mangalhat and Raju from Gulbarga.

The trio committed seven offences involving theft of two motorcycles, 38 tolas of gold ornaments and one TV set in different parts of the city. The case was investigated by Sub-Inspector P. Subbaiah.
