ISLAMABAD: Saudi King Shah Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz arrived here on Wednesday to a tumultuous welcome with the entire establishment turning up at the Chaklala military airbase. Setting aside protocol, President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz received him. Besides the military brass, Chief Ministers and Governors of all the provinces were lined up to welcome the King. Part of the reason why Pakistan is pulling out all stops to make the visit of the King a grand success is the just concluded visit of Abdul Aziz to New Delhi as a special guest on the occasion of the Republic Day. The new dynamism injected in ties between New Delhi and Riyadh has not gone unnoticed here.
