Dry weather in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Cold wave conditions prevailed over parts of interior Karnataka and Rayalaseema.

The minimum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, rose at one or two places over Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were largely below normal at one or two places over south interior Karnataka, markedly to appreciably below normal at a few places over north interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, appreciably below normal at one or two places over Tamil Nadu, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, below normal at a few places over rest Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka at one or two places over rest south interior Karnataka, rest Rayalaseema, rest Telangana and were generally normal over rest of the region.

Adilabad, Gulbarga and Chitradurga recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 11 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Friday morning): Mainly dry weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Cold wave warning: Cold wave conditions are likely to prevail over parts of interior Karnataka, Telangana and Rayalaseema during next 24 hours.
