Kozhikode: Sixty leading literary figures will participate in the literary festival to be organised in connection with the Malabar Maholsavam on February 10, 11 and 12. Programmes will be held at the Town Hall on all the three days. M.N. Vijayan, writer, will inaugurate the festival at 3 p.m. on February 10. Rose Mary, poet, will inaugurate the poets' meet. Poets M.N. Paloor, K.C. Umesh Babu, P.P. Sreedharan, T.P. Rajeevan, Pavithran Narikunni, Meloor Vasudevan, P.M. Narayanan and P.K. Gopi will present their works. An `akshara sloka' session will be held at 10 a.m. on February 11. Akbar Kakkatil, Ashokan Cheruvil, T.N. Prakash, Subash Chandran and K.P. Sudheera will take part in a discussion programme in story writing at 3 p.m. Writers V. Sukumaran, M.R. Chandrashekaran, M.M. Basheer and Priyadarshan Lal will participate in a general discussion programme at 5 p.m. on the same day. The Akshaya Samskarika Vedi will present a `kavyakeli' at 11 a.m. on February 12. P.K. Parakkadavu, K.P. Ramanunni, V.R. Sudheesh, M.D. Radhika, Civic Chandran, K.P. Kunhamu, Jamal Kochangandi, Paul Kallanode and V.T. Murali will speak at a symposium on creativity and sensibilities. Artist and sculptor M.V. Devan will inaugurate the valedictory function in the evening. U.A. Khader, writer, will preside over the function.
