DHARWAD: Kannada poets and writers Da. Ra. Bendre, Kuvempu, Shivaram Karanth and Masti Venkatesh Iyengar are among the finest minds in the literary world, Jnanpith Award-winner U.R. Ananthamurthy has said. Mr. Ananthamurthy was releasing "Bhashe Mattu Samskruti," a collection of newspaper articles by the late Keertinath Kurtkoti here on Wednesday. Abhiruchi Samskrutika Sangha and the alumni association of Karnatak College had organised the programme. Kurtkoti could speak authoritatively on the works dating back to the age of Pampa. He loved to unravel the diversity of life and to portray the same. His columns reflected his thinking, he said. Critic G.S. Amur, who presided over the function, said Kurtkoti had a great memory. Rajashekhar Jadar welcomed the gathering. Krishna Katti introduced the guests and Vinayak Nayak proposed a vote of thanks. Giraddi Govindaraj, Veena Shanteshwar, Sadanand Kanavalli, Principal Chachadi, and Kaddipudi were present.
