HYDERABAD: A new bypass road will be laid to ease traffic congestion on the main road leading to Keesara temple during the forthcoming Sivaratri jatara at Keesaragutta. The new road will come up behind the Andhra Pradesh Residential School abutting the hilltop temple. Reviewing the arrangements for the jatara here on Wednesday, Ranga Reddy district Collector L. Premchandra Reddy said that the present road leading to the temple was choked with pilgrim traffic, resulting in frequent traffic snarls and delays every year necessitating the new bypass connection. He asked the APSRTC authorities to run additional bus services on Cherlapally and Rampalli routes, too, since heavy rush was expected this time with the festival falling on a Sunday. He appealed to the Transco authorities to ensure uninterrupted power supply. Cyberabad Police Commissioner Mahender Reddy said that a three-tier parking facility would be introduced with separate enclosures for two and four-wheelers and heavy vehicles.
