CIPA now in North Delhi
CIPA, which was first install in New Delhi district, provides easy and quick access to information pertaining to investigations into all the cases, apart from developing a big database on profiles of criminals and their modus operandi. Through Wide Area Networking, the system would like all the police stations cross the Capital for smooth police functioning.
Journalists assaulted
The incident took place around 11 a.m. It is alleged that a number of DBA members arrived there and roughed up RBA general secretary S.P. Sharma and eight of his colleagues. The DBA members allegedly snatched the camera of a photographer of a Hindi daily took away its SIM-card. A journalist of the same publication who objected to it was also allegedly roughed up.

Constable held
On Tuesday, the Anti-Corruption Branch received a complaint from Rajesh Chauhan, a resident of Najafgarh in South-West Delhi, alleging that Constable Ravi Dutt Bhardwaj had been demanding Rs. 1,000 to not to arrest him in a case in which a compromise had already been reached at between both parties. Subsequently, the same day the Anti-Corruption Branch personnel laid a trap and arrested Ravi while he was accepting the bribe amount. In another case, Shanti Prasad was arrested for accepting a bribe of Rs. 500 from one Sanjay Pratap to renew his driving licence.
Auto-lifters nabbed
According to the police, the accused, Pramod and Ravinder, were involved in at least seven cases of auto-lifting. During interrogation, they allegedly revealed that they stole vehicles from Najafgarh, Nangloi, Tilak Nagar, Janakpuri and Gurgaon in Haryana.
