Reading programme for special children introduced

TIRUPUR : Swami Dayanandha Saraswathi introduced an exclusive reading programme for special children at Bharathi Vidyashram on Wednesday here.

A unit of Sri Saradha Peetham, Sringeri, the Bharathi Vidyashram, an educational centre for special children, has 18 children now. Swami Dayanandha Saraswathi offered blessings to the children.

Special educators

According to Auditor, T.R. Ramanathan, the school caters to children suffering from mild mental retardation, learning and similar problems. It is the second after the Noida branch, run by the Peetham.

Mr. Ramanathan says the school has occupational therapy and special educators.
