Award for Haryana Board

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) has been awarded "Innovation and Best Practices award for e-governance" under innovative operation in professional category at the ninth National e-Governance Award Conference at Kochi, an official spokesman said here on Thursday. The Board has been awarded for a unique software `resulththroughbinocular' developed by the HBSE Secretary, Rajeev Ranjan.

The software included complete result analysis and data on a number of aspects like classifications according to rural or urban and male or female, Government or private schools, regular or private candidates and details of toppers in various categories at various levels. It also carried pass or fail or compartment, percentage of marks scored in a subject, school-wise results and also data on those caught while using unfair means. It was also capable of producing the list of any number of toppers in any subject by any category, region or sex or school.
