Non-bailable warrant against Jaiprakash Narain
Jamui:
Beleaguered former Union Minister Jaiprakash Narain Yadav on Thursday suffered a fresh setback with a Jamui court issuing a non-bailable warrant of arrest against him and three others for allegedly aiding the escape of his brother Vijay Prakash from police custody during Bihar Assembly elections.
Sub-divisional judicial magistrate A. K. Jha issued the warrants against Mr. Yadav, suspended officer-in-charge of the Khaira Police Station Mukteshwar Prasad, a Block head Neela and RJD activist Shauqat Ali, after rejecting the former Minister's plea against the prosecution's prayer for NBW.
Magistrate R. C. Singh, on January 18, transferred the case to the SDJM. PTI
