Warning against chicken pox

Thiruvananthapuram: The Director of Health Services has appealed to the public to be on the alert against chicken pox, which has been reported from some parts of the district following climatic changes. Those who have contracted the disease should be kept in isolation as the virus is air-borne. Utmost care should be taken in maintaining personal hygiene, the DHS warned in a statement issued here on Thursday. — Staff Reporter

Diabetes camp

Thiruvananthapuram: Nearly 350 employees of the University of Kerala took part in a diabetes detection and awareness camp organised jointly by the Kerala University Women's Club and Lions Club, Kowdiar, on Thursday.
