Spectacular Quest shines

Mumbai: Spectacular Quest shone when the horses were exercised here on Friday morning (Feb.3).

Outer sand:

800m: Forces Of Destiny (N.Jodha), Band Of Gold (Shelar) 52, 600/38.5. Former ended four lengths in front. Cromwell (Ruzaan) 56, 600/42.5. Easy. Jericho (rb), Star Finesse (Khalander) 57, 600/44. Pair level. Adam's Star (Kharadi) 57, 600/41.5. Easy.

1,000m: Spectacular Quest (M.R.Singh) 1-6.5, 800/52, 600/39. Moved well. Oh What A Babe (Mansoor), Zeus (Manohar) 1-8.5, 600/41. They moved level freely. The Praetorian (S.Fargeat), Activisto (Hamir) 1-9, 600/41. Former ended four lengths in front. Ponte Romano (rb) 1-12, 600/44. Easy.

1,200m: Makramah (McCullagh), Enaksi (Merchant) 1-21, 600/39. They were pushed and finished level. Lightning Pegasus (J.Chinoy), Same Game (P.S.Deora) 1-23, 600/41. Both were pushed.

Inner sand:

600m: Priapus (Jethu), Annot (T.Mahesh) 41. They ended level.

800m: Sanskara (Maseyk) (1400/600) 55.5. Easy.

Gate practice (outer sand):

1,000m: High Flying (Merchant) 1-6.5, 600/41. Pushed. The Rising (Shelar), Sirius Black (Bernard), King's Desire (rb) 1-7, 600/41. They jumped out well. Pride (S.Fargeat), Charlize (C.Stefan) 1-7, 600/39. Former superior.

Trainer suspended & fined:

Anil Kumar trainer of See The Truth was questioned into the running and riding of his ward See The Truth run in the Mangal Plate on January 24 . The Stewards who were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by him held him guilty for giving misleading evidence in the enquiry and decided to suspend his licence from February 10 to March 9, 2006. He was also fined a sum of Rs. 10, 000.

Jockeys suspended:

H.G.Rathod who rode See The Truth in the Mangal Plate on January 24, was suspended by the Stewards from February 10 to April 30 , 2006, for not permitting his mount to run on its merits .

V.Jodha rider of Strategic Moves run in the Wisdom Plate on January 29 was also suspended by the Stewards from February 10 to April 1 2006, for not allowing his mount to run on its merits.

Turf News:

The annual auction sale of two year old Bloodstock will be held at Pune race course in the paddock on Friday, February 10. In all 510 lots are for sale in this year's auction sale.
