Bangalore: Writing a book is one thing and getting it published is another. For many budding authors, rejection slips are a part of life. Oxford Bookstore has launched its fourth e-Author Version 4.0 contest to save young authors from some of the rejection slips at least. In association with Reader's Digest, the e-Author will provide a literary stage for budding writers. At the launch function publicised online on www.oxfordbookstore.com, Oxford Bookstores Chief Executive Officer Rajiv Chowdhry said, "This is the only online event in India that has made e-writing prestigious and challenging. We have changed the format to short story writing this year in keeping with requests we have been getting over the years. We welcome all aspiring writers to showcase their talent and be a part of an innovative contest.'' The last date for submitting entries is March 9. Three finalists will be announced on May 9, while short-listed authors can submit three more short stories each on or before June 30. The second round of judging will be held between July 6 and August 6 and three winners of the contest will be announced on August 21.
