Rare feat

This refers to the editorial, `Hat-trick: a potted history' (Feb. 3). Left-arm seamer Irfan Pathan's rare feat, a hat-trick in the first over of a Test, however, could not be savoured for long as the team lost the match badly. Pathan has emerged as an effective new ball bowler with a lot of variety and his batting is a big plus.
