Five trains to Shravanabelagola

BANGALORE:
The South Western Railway (SWR) has announced that Union Minister of State for Railways R. Velu will flag off train services on the Hassan-Shravanabelagola line at Shravanabelagola on February 7.
Addressing presspersons here on Friday, SWR General Manager T.N. Perti said the SWR will run five special trains to Shravanabelagola from Bangalore, Arasikere and Hassan between February 7 and February 21. In addition to a passenger train between Mangalore and Shravanabelagola, such a service will be introduced between Hassan and Shravanabelagola from February 23, he added.
Three stations
There are three stations on the 43-km stretch between Hassan and Shravanabelagola, and all special passenger trains will halt there, Mr. Perti said.
