KANNUR: The Government of Pondicherry on Friday appointed an officer to conduct an inquiry into the circumstances that led to the alleged suicide of a PWD executive engineer in Mahe. A press release issued by the Deputy Secretary to the Government said that the Deputy Collector (Revenue-North) had been instructed to conduct an inquiry into the circumstances and situation that led to the death of K.K. Santhosh Kumar. He was suspected to have committed suicide. The Deputy Collector was asked to submit his report on or before February 17.
