GUNTUR: A new drop-box scheme `Grahaka Mitra' meant to accept both local and non-local cheques round the clock for clearing was launched by State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) at its Arundulpet branch in the city on Friday. Speaking at the inaugural, SBH assistant general manager Siddartha Biswal said that the bank's Vijayawada zone comprising Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam districts had 44 branches and granted Rs. 497 crore as advances last year while Rs. 655 crore was mobilised as deposits.
