Reliance Energy bids for Mumbai Metro

MUMBAI: Emerging as the lowest bidder at Rs. 1,251 crore, the Reliance Energy-Hong Kong MRT-Connex consortium is close to bagging the contract to build the Phase-I of the Mumbai Metro Rail Transit System (MMRTS). "The technical evaluations are still on and we will invite them for negotiations before awarding the contract,'' a senior official of Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority told PTI here.
