JALANDHAR: Panic spread in the city on Friday morning after a blast in a ice-factory led to the leakage of ammonia, official sources said here. The blast at the factory in Rama Mandi area at about 9 a.m. and the leak of the foul-smelling gas caused people to rush out of their houses, they said.A schools near the factory was evacuated and senior officials rushed to the spot, sources said. The situation was brought under control in about two hours and a few people affected by the leak were admitted to nearby hospitals. - PTI
