THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The International Education Meet, opening in Kochi on Saturday, will discuss measures needed for repositioning higher education sector in the State for global excellence, Minister for Education E.T. Mohammed Basheer said here on Friday. At a press conference, the Minister said the State could be world leaders in education and could attract students from abroad. Parents from West Asia, Singapore and Malaysia would like to send their wards to Kerala for education because of low costs, moral values of the State and availability of courses in English medium. He said an exhibition on opportunities and avenues in higher education the world over was being organised along with the meet.
