Thiruvananthapuram
Thiruvananthapuram: IBS Software Services, an information technology solution provider to the global travel, transportation and logistics industry, has taken up floor space of 32,000 sqft at Leela Infopark as part of expansion of its operations in Kochi. A company release here on Friday said this space would seat 350 software professionals. In the coming financial year, IBS intends to recruit 700 to 1,000 software professionals in Kerala. This is its second facility within the Infopark, having started its Kochi operations in July 2005 from the Thapasya building. "The space will be just enough for us to cater to our requirements for the next six months, and the Kochi centre can seat about 500 software professionals," said V.K. Mathews, chairman of the IBS Group. "IBS moving into Leela Infopark is a recognition of the world-class facilities that we provide," said Venu Krishnan, executive director of the Leela Group. IBS Thiruvananthapuram operates out of two buildings in Technopark that can accommodate close to 700 software professionals. Recently, about 1,200 sq ft of space was added at the Nila building, which houses IBS headquarters. As a first step towards actualising its plan to ramp up operations in Technopark, IBS acquired two hectares of land on the campus in May last year. UNI
