Hyderabad institute wins law moot court competition

CHENNAI: The National Academy of Legal Sciences and Research (NALSAR), Hyderabad, was declared winner of the National Rounds of the Philip C Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition organised by the Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, in association with Surana and Surana attorneys, between January 27 and 29. A jury of five judges, four from the Madras High Court and one Ad Hoc judge of the International Court of Justice, adjudged National Law Institute University, Bhopal, as the runner up. Lavanya from the School of Excellence in Law, Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, was declared the best student advocate.

The best memorial award went to ILS Law College Pune and Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College took home the second prize. P.S. Rao, Ad Hoc Judge, International Court of Justice, judges P.K. Mishra, N. Paul Vasantha Kumar, M. Jaichandran, V. Dhanapalan, attorney Vinod Surana, David Ambrose, National Administrator of the Philip C Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, and C. Robin, principal of Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, participated in the valedictory function of the competition.
