Time to guffaw like `crazy'

Staff Reporter

FORAY INTO FILMS: From left, `Crazy' Mohan with `Maadhu' Balaji and the rest of the `Jery' team.

CHENNAI: There is greater evidence now than ever before that a hearty laugh is good for the heart, literally. What better way to lighten things up than with a laugh riot thought up by `Crazy' Mohan?

Jery is a humorous film that Mohan has scripted and coming up with the laughs is his very familiar stage colleague `Maadhu' Balaji. This is an interesting foray into films for Balaji and his college-mate, director S.B. Kanthan. The two have been conjuring up comedies from the time drama company Crazy Creations was born in 1979. They had a long television innings as well. Here is Crazy featuring Balaji was produced in 1987 and directed by Kanthan for telecast by Doordarshan.

Producer L. Viswanathan of L Ve Creations has given the duo a launchpad into films with Jery. So, sit back and get ready to laugh your illnesses away.
