MANGALORE: Unidentified persons allegedly raped a seven-year-old girl, daughter of a migrant labourer from Coimbatore, in an open area at Bykampady under the Panambur police station limits on Friday. Police said the victim's parents found her near the tent where they were sleeping. A case has been registered
Killed
A teenager was killed when he accidentally fell down from a private bus near Panambur circle on Thursday. Police said Nithin (19), resident of Panjimogaru, was standing on the steps of the bus when he fell down and was runover by the vehicle. The Panambur police have registered a case .
Theft
A case of theft involving gold jewellery worth Rs. 78,000 has been reported from Kulai-Hosabettu under the Suratkal police station limits. H. Rama (75) found the front door of her house ajar when she returned home after a walk on January 30. However, she did not find anything amiss immediately. The theft came to light only on Wednesday when Ms. Rama found jewellery missing. A case has been registered.
