Kanpur: Three members of an inter-State gang of dacoits have been killed in an encounter with the STF of U.P. Police in Bithoor area here on Saturday. On a tip off that some wanted criminals had assembled near Sidhansu ashram in Bithoor, the STF team led by Additional Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Tripathi cordoned off the area and challenged them. After exchange of fire, three gang members were injured and taken to hospital where they succumbed to injuries. The trio was identified as Raghuvira Dhimar, Mohan Dhimar, and Bhan Dhimar. --PTI
