Nepal Minister's house attacked
Kathmandu:
Seven Maoists were killed in skirmishes with security forces across Nepal, even as the rebels carried out a bomb attack on the house of a Minister. Four Maoist rebels, including a battalion commander, were killed in a retaliatory attack by the security forces in Nepalgunj.
The Maoists exploded the bomb at the residence of Assistant Land Reform Minister Yagya Bahadur Budhathoki in Dang district last night, police said.
The building was destroyed but nobody was injured as the rebels evacuated the house before planting the bomb, they said adding that the Minister was in Kathmandu.
