Osmania in last four

HYDERABAD: Osmania University (Hyderabad) moved into the semifinal of the all-India inter-university tennis championship with a 3-0 win against University of Rajasthan (Jaipur) in Tirupati on Monday.

Results: Quarterfinals: Bangalore University bt University of Pune 3-0 (Arjun Gowtham bt Sreekanth Kumawat 6-1, 7-5; Kiran Kumar bt Divyesh Tripati 6-0, 6-0; Kiran Kumar & Dhruv Sunder bt Sreekanth Kumawat & Ajinkya Rao 7-6 (7-4), 6-3).

Osmania University bt University of Rajasthan (Jaipur) 3-0 (Vishnuvardhan bt Anirudh Singh 6-1, 6-0; P.C. Vignesh bt Mahendra Rathore 6-3, 6-2; Vishnuvardhan & Vignesh w/o Mahendra Rathore & Anirudh Singh).

Anna University (Chennai) bt Jiwaji University (Gwalior) 2-1 (Parivel bt Aditya Sao 6-0, 6-2; Vasudevan lost to I.K. Mahajan 1-6, 0-6; Vasudevan & Abhinay bt Aditya Sao & I.K. Mahajan 6-2, 6-2).
