Tiger by the tail
SAFER IN CAPTIVITY: Royal Bengal tigers having a rollicking time in their enclosure at the Thiruvananthapuram zoo. Habitat loss and poaching have reduced the tiger population in Indian forests to less than 4,000 when last counted three years ago, abo ut 70 of them in Kerala forests.
