SanDisk opens design centre in Bangalore
BANGALORE:
The world's largest supplier of flash data storage card products, SanDisk Corporation, on Tuesday opened a research and development facility in the technology hub of Bangalore. Engineers at SanDisk India Device Design Center Pvt. Ltd. will work as an extension of the company's team in the U.S. on core elements of its flash memory products. SanDisk's Chief Operating Officer and co-founder Sanjay Mehrotra told reporters here that the Bangalore centre would have ten engineers initially to work on the state-of-the-art flash memory designs. It would initially concentrate on projects involving NAND memory, the heart of SanDisk's flash memory cards, USB drives and MP 3 players.
