The Madurai Chapter of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) has bagged the best chapter award both at the national and regional levels for its performance during the current fiscal.

The award was conferred on the chapter — fifth time in succession during the last six years — at the three-day National Cost Convention held in Bhubaneswar from January 20 and the two-day regional convention held in Chennai from January 6.

The ICWAI has also planned to come out with a new cost management and accounting system for the fast growing BPO industry, and for the power and telecom sectors.

Recently, the ICWAI had launched e-learning mode as a third alternative to the existing oral and postal coaching classes it conducts..
