ANANTAPUR : A hoax bomb call delayed the running of Nizamuddin-Yashwanthpur Sampark Kranti Express by about one-and-a-half hour at Dharmavaram in the district on Tuesday. The bomb scare proved hoax after an intense search of the train in Dharamavaram station. According to information, the Dharmavaram station officials received a phone call from Guntakal area that a powerful bomb was planted on the express train and it would blast by 6 p.m. The train arrived in the station at 4 p.m. and search for the explosive material was taken up immediately. The train left for Bangalore at 5.30 p.m. after the search proved that the bomb scare was hoax.
