MUMBAI: Gagan Verma and Joseph Chakola (India B) produced a cumulative score of par 140 to tie with Simarjeet Singh/Chirag Kumar (India A) the Royal Challenge 105th All-India Amateur Golf's international strokeplay event. Verma's four-under 66 was the day's best performance. while Chirag managed three-under 67 at the par-70 Bombay Presidency Golf Club course on Tuesday. Singapore (144) was in third position, followed by England (145), Bangladesh (149), Sri Lanka A and Pakistan (both 151). Sri Lanka B (160) occupies the rock bottom of this tournament featuring teams from five nations. General J.J. Singh, Chief of Army Staff and president of Indian Golf Union, spoke to a gathering of players and officials on the occasion.
