CPI(M) plans campaign in solidarity with Iran

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State CPI(M) has decided to hold rallies at the local committee level from February 24 to 28 in solidarity with Iran.

CPI(M) State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan told a news conference here on Tuesday that the campaign was being organised to focus attention on the Indian Government's move from the time-honoured policy of non-alignment and its decision to vote with the United States on the Iran nuclear question.

This would be followed by other programmes to mobilise public opinion against the Indian Government's stand on the issue, he said.
