    KEEN OBSERVERS: Krishna District Collector Navin Mittal, VGTM-UDA chairman Malladi Vishnu, Vijayawada West MLA Sk Nazar Vali taking a look at a surgery method at Medha -2006 on Wednesday.

    VIJAYAWADA: Krishna district Collector Navin Mittal on Wednesday said that medical exhibitions would be useful to the common man to know about the functioning of various organs of body and preventive measures to safeguard themselves from diseases.

    He inaugurated `Medha-2006,' a six-day medical exhibition organised by Siddhartha Medical College on its premises.

    Models from 24 departments of the college were on the display. Mr. Mittal advised the students to create awareness among visiting public about root causes of several diseases . Vijayawada west MLA Sheik Nasarvali felt that the exhibition would help people shun misconceptions about practices like black magic.

    Chairman of the VGTM-UDA Malladi Vishnu said that medical tests were available at the Government General Hospital at lower prices.

    SMC Principal G. Eeswar said that the exhibition would be on till February 13 and open to public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
