`Vengi Utsav' from Feb. 19

ELURU: "Vengi Ustsav-2006'' will be held in West Godavari district for eight days from February 19.

A meeting with government department heads was held at Collectorate on Sunday to ensure that arrangements were in place. The Vengi Ustsav, linked to a trade fair, will be held at the Indoor Stadium at Eluru, according to Collector Lav Agarwal. The festival would also be held at Pedavegi, the once capital of Vengi kings, and Patteseema, an abode of Siva temple located right in the middle of the picturesque Godavari in Polavaram mandal. Para sailing, air show and scating by NCC cadets are added attraction.
