Rajahmundry: The CPM has reiterated that the design of the Polavaram major irrigation project is not acceptable to them as it is not going to create additional ayacut and more over it is going to submerge the existing agriculture lands. It also announced that it is going to take up Chalo Assembly in first or second week of March against the construction of Polavaram with present design. Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Bhadrachalam Member of Parliament (MP) and CPM leader Miriyam Babu Rao said that their prime demand is to change the design.
