BJP not shy of alliances in States: Rajnath
Lucknow:
Ahead of Assembly elections in four States and a Union Territory scheduled this year, the BJP has not ruled out the possibility of forging poll alliances with different parties.
``BJP can go for alliance in all five -- Kerala, Assam, West Bengal, Pondicherry and Tamil Nadu -- going to polls later this year,'' BJP president Rajnath Singh told reporters here.
Which party the BJP would ally with would come to fore only when the polls were announced, he added. ``This is premature, but one thing I can say that the alliance cannot be ruled out in all these five States.''
To a specific query about BJP coming into grand alliance with Mamata Banerjee's Trinamul Congress and the Congress in the West Bengal Assembly polls, he said ``Trinamul is already with us but the talks of grand alliance has no substance as of today.''
