Menayya is BSP State chief

HYDERABAD:
K.S. Menayya, general secretary of the Andhra Pradesh unit of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), on Thursday took over as president from P. Lalaiah who was made member of the National Executive.
He took office in the presence of B.L. Khabri, national general secretary and coordinator for Andhra Pradesh. Y. Shankar, National Executive member, was present. Mr. Lalaiah was conspicuous by his absence.
The three leaders told a press conference that the change of guard was effected by the party national president Mayawati.
Mr. Menayya said his agenda was to strengthen the organisation in the State and empower the Bahujans.
