Shop till you drop

You can't walk down a few shops without big banners staring at you — up to 50 per cent off. The end of season sale is on. `Limited stocks, limited period once in a year offer, it's now or never', they beckon.

We can almost rename the entire road down from Hyderabad Central to Pantaloons and beyond Shoppers Stop as `sale road'. Woollens, shoes, shirts, sarees, dress material, jeans, even dry flowers are in the sale ambit.

With the up to 50 per cent promise becoming suspect, the new catchword by some establishments is a flat 50 per cent off.

And its not just the big retailers, the discount bug seems to have bitten the public sector airliner Indian Airlines and telecom giant BSNL too. Their offers look nothing less than those in the retail segment.

For shopoholics the mantra is fill, fill and just fill your bags.
