`HYDERABAD FIRST': Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy congratulating Deputy Mayor Subash Chanderji, MCH Commissioner Sanjay Jaju and district in-charge Minister Mohd. Ali Shabbir for bagging the Golden Icon award.
HYDERABAD : Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Thursday appreciated Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad for receiving the prestigious Golden Icon, a national award for exemplary initiatives in e-governance for its `Hyderabad First' recently. The award was received at the ninth national conference on e-governance held at Kochi in February first week. District in-charge Minister Mohd. Ali Shabbir, Deputy Mayor Subash Chanderji and MCH Commissioner Sanjay Jaju, met Dr. Reddy at his chambers to show the award. Hyderabad First is the MCH's step towards creating an open information civil society through democratic process. It harnesses might of information and communication technologies to make participatory tools and services readily available online, said Mr. Jaju. Commissioned in 2001, Hyderabad First has a number of citizen-friendly services online and works through a utility driven website www.ourmch.com, according to a press release.
