ERODE: Sewage is flowing on the road in Muthurangan Street here due to non-cleaning of the municipal drain.

Following this, traffic has been affected on the street located in the heart of the town in the Bazaar area. The road is one of the busiest in Erode. Almost all the officials and public use the road, sources said.

Dumping of materials

But for the last two or three days, huge quantity of sewage was flowing on the road due to which the pedestrians and two-wheeler riders were finding it very difficult to use the road.

When asked about it, the Municipal officials said that steps had been taken to clean the drains, but due to dumping of building construction materials in the drain, gutter water was flowing on the road.
